Hey! I'm David, a Gameplay Engineer with 7+ years of experience crafting games in Unreal Engine and Unity. I enjoy turning ideas into system that feel great in players' hands. I'm especially interested in the moment-to-moment experience and the small details that make gameplay satisfying and responsive. I tend to approach problems with a mix of technical and design thinking, focusing not just on how something works, but how it feels.
I’ve worked on multiple shipped titles at Polyarc, contributing to player abilities, AI behaviors, boss encounters, and systemic gameplay features across both VR and flatscreen experiences. I tend to take ownership of systems end-to-end, from early prototyping through iteration and polish.
I like working closely with designers and artists to solve problems collaboratively, and I care a lot about building systems that are both flexible and maintainable.
